30th Annual Mountain Music Festival ANNOUNCED!



MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 30 YEARS IN MANITOU SPRINGS
August 24-26, 2012

Manitou Springs, Colorado – The 30th Annual Mountain Music Festival is gearing up for a major celebration marking three decades of great music at the foot of Pikes Peak.  This year’s free festival is August 24-26, 2012 held in the pavilion at beautiful Soda Springs Park in historic downtown Manitou Springs, Colorado.  Over a dozen bands will perform 21 hours of Americana, bluegrass, folk, world, cowboy and gospel music over three days.  Delicious food, crafts vendors and childrens activities make this family-friendly festival one of the region’s great summer destination events.

Performers include the Big Valley String Band, Robert Force, Cripple Creek, Pretty Good Folk, Jim Young, local favorites the Mitguards and Mango Fan D’Jango plus international sensation Judy Piazza among others. 

The Mountain Music Festival is presented and coordinated by The Dulcimer Shop of Manitou Springs and is sponsored by the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce, iManitou and the creative community of Manitou Springs. This musical heritage celebration is a smoke and alcohol-free event where well-mannered music-loving dogs on leashes are welcome. 

“Friends of the Festival” donations may be made online at www.manitousprings.org or mailed to MMF/ Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce, 354 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs, CO 80829.  Proceeds help underwrite musicians and festival expenses.  Volunteers are needed and vendor booth applications are being accepted online now at www.dulcimer.net.
